So as many of us in the gaming community have been indifferent about Ninja Theory’s new iteration of Devil May Cry, the widely popular hack n’ slash series that debuted in 2001.
I think it was a year ago when Ninja Theory, the developers behind Heavenly Sword and Enslaved: Odyssey To The West, debuted their new rebooted version of Devil May Cry- simply called DMC.
The main question we fans kept asking was, why?
Why change the way Dante looks? Why start from scratch? There wasn’t really much story to begin with. The original games consisted of, basically, Dante going around and fighting demons. He set up a shop where people came in and asked for help regarding demons. I see no reason to reboot a series where all they had to do was make a fifth game about someone asking for Dante’s help.
Oh well, I guess I don’t understand how the business world works.
Anyway, this is an open discussion as to why you think they needed to reboot Devil May Cry. Sound off!
